With your commitment of a current gift to GSCGM's permanently restricted endowment fund or a deferred gift through your estate of at least $1,000, you will become a member of the Juliette Gordon Low Society, a select group of women and men who have helped secure the future of Girl Scouting.

Benefits of Membership

  • An annual social gathering for members
  • Periodic educational forums
  • A quarterly financial and estate planning information bulletin
  • The knowledge that your support of Girl Scouting will continue for many years to come
There are several ways you can contribute to Girl Scouting and qualify for membership in the Juliette Gordon Low Society.

Ensure the Council's Future

1. Include GSCGM in your will, directing a portion of your assets or estate's residuary balance to the Council.

2. Name GSCGM as owner and/or beneficiary of a new or existing life insurance policy or retirement fund.

3. Include GSCGM in a charitable trust, a gift annuity, or a pooled income fund, which can provide payments to you during your lifetime.

Benefit the Council Today
A current gift to the Council's Endowment Fund starts to grow immediately and becomes an important source of annual income. Funds are responsibly managed at the Minneapolis Foundation.

Gifts of all sizes are welcome. However, to become a Juliette Gordon Low Society member through endowment giving requires a commitment of at least $1,000. Your endowment contribution may be paid in full or as a multi-year pledge.

Juliette Gordon Low dreamed of "something for all the girls," and in 1912 she formed the first Girl Scout troop. Nurtured by Juliette's personal funding -- she sold her necklace of rare matched pearls for $8,000 to finance operations in the early days -- the Girl Scout movement grew and flourished.

Members of the Juliette Gordon Low Society believe the legacy of Girl Scouting should be preserved for future girls. By including the Council in your estate and financial plans, you can have the satisfaction of supporting Girl Scouts in a meaningful and permanent way.
