NEW PROGRAM KIT! HIGH ON LIFE BADGE
In 2004, the Council teamed up with Hazelden to create a program guide for leading girls through the High on Life Badge. Since that time, drug and alcohol use among Minnesota's middle school students has continued to rise while the number of available drugs has multiplied. The Hazelden written curriculum and videos, as well as new activities and ready to use materials, are now available together in a Program Kit. Please take time to utilize this curriculum and begin preventing drug use among your girls. And remember, completing the High on Life badge will put your girls on the way to earning the Sign of the Sun and Bronze awards. Contact the Equipment Registrar as (763)971-4079 to reserve this kit today.

NEW PROGRAM KIT! GSUSA ASTHMA AWARENESS PATCH: BREATHE EASIER
The Asthma Coalition of Long Island and GSUSA have teamed up to create a fun, interactive patch program for Girl Scouts of all ages. This program teaches girls about the respiratory system, the condition of asthma, asthma-related emergency response, healthy choices, and ties petal, Try-It, badge, and charm requirements. Most everything you need has been put together in a 1 to 2 meeting program kit! Materials are written in both Spanish and English. Contact the Equipment Registrar at (763)971-4079 to reserve your program kit.

GAME FACE
Each February we celebrate National Girls and Women in Sports Day. This is a time to pay homage to all of the amazing things women athletes have done, remember what girl's sports were like before Title IX, take time to say thank you, and experience a new sport or physical activity! The Game Face kit includes activities, resources, and program materials to lead your troop through activities about sports and women athletes and is appropriate for all age levels. Troops choose to take the kit a step farther by doing a small-scale project to recognize NGWSD in their service unit or community will earn a certificate and NGWSD patches (while supplies last). Contact the Equipment Registrar at (763)971-4079 to reserve your kit today!
