Thank you for your interest in volunteer with the Girl Scout Council of Greater Minneapolis. There are many ways to volunteer with the Girl Scouts including, Troop Leader, Trainer, internships and even on-call as available opportunities through our Talent Match Database.

To be a Troop Leader, call our Girl Scout office at 763-535-4602 to let us know the name of the community or area in which you live. You will be referred to a volunteer recruiter in your neighborhood to help you get started.

To be a Troop Leader of an existing troop, whose leader you're replacing, contact your local service unit manager. The troops current leader can provide you with the service unit managers contact information. If not, contact our Girl Scout office and ask for the contact information of the service unit manager in your community.

Next, print, complete and return this Volunteer Application to our council located at 5601 Brooklyn Boulevard, Brooklyn Center, MN 55429 or via fax to 763-535-7524, Attention: Volunteer Development Manager. Once your application is received and your references contacted, you will be contacted to arrange an informational interview and schedule all necessary training. Training can be completed online, self study, or in a group setting.

The Girl Scouts of the USA is a membership organization and all volunteers are expected to become registered members. Membership is open to girls and adults who believe in the principles for which the organization exists. As a member, you will receive council publications and have insurance coverage during Girl Scout events. Membership dues are $10.00 annually. Financial aid is available.

There shall be no discrimination against an otherwise qualified adult volunteer by reason of race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender, socio-economic status, age, geographic origin, size, ability, religion, or family structure.
