Arete is the President/CEO of Manhattan Toy Company in downtown Minneapolis. Prior to this position, she was the Vice President of ShopNBC and was the General Manager for Halo Innovations in Plymouth. She has over 27 years of marketing and general management experience. As a seasoned marketing executive, Arete has had the opportunity to work with parents and children throughout her career with companies such as Crayola, Scholastic, Weekly Reader and Mattel. Arete moved to Minneapolis from Connecticut to become the Executive Vice President for Department 56 (now Lenox), the collectible and giftware company in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. She is well versed in strategic development, marketing, advertising, promotion, public relations, consumer behavior, market research and e-commerce. Arete also serves on the Girl Scout Council of Greater Minneapolis Executive Committee and chairs the Marketing Committee. This is Arete's third term on the Board of Directors.
